Vintage Hedrich-Blessing Photo of Marina City by Chicago River Iconic Image, Downtown Chicago This is a vintage Henrich-Blessing photo likely taken in the late 1960s, early 1970s. The photo had been in the Equitable Life Insurance Office in New York before it was disposed in 1980s. The photo is crisp and well preserved in very good vintage condition. Hedrich Blessing Photographers (also Hedrich-Blessing) was an architectural photography firm established in Chicago in 1929 by partners Ken Hedrich and Henry Blessing. Marina City is a mixed-use complex along the main branch of the Chicago River in downtown Chicago. Its distinctive design features two cylindrical 588-foot towers.
