HISTORY Photographed by retired professional photographer Nicholas Hill FBIPP, who specialised in commerical and industrial photography from 1987-1996. Notes from the photographer: This set of prints was captured during year 2000 to celebrate the turn of the millennium. I believe that London deserves its very own photographic portfolio capturing the splendour and majesty of the awe-inspiring architecture. The photographs were exposed to black and white film and conducted at dusk, which offered the lighting that complimented the tungsten and sodium light in the city. Too light and atmosphere was lost. Too dark and detail was lost. Perfect timing and weather conditions demanded many re-shoots until the balance was finally achieved.
