PROVENANCE: Though there is a previous owner card that reads Harold Held, the book is from the estate of the late Marvin Schachter: Marvin Schachter was a prominent, lifelong activist from Pasadena. He has been very active politically, but especially in social justice. From student activist in the 1940s to involved senior citizen in the past three decades, Schachter’s affiliations have been many, among them in recent years the International Criminal Court Alliance, the United Nations Association, the California Commission on Aging and the Center for Healthcare Rights, to name just a few. I have a variety of Art books, almost all with breathtaking, full color photographs on fine photographic paper. Most, if not all, are vintage!
