Other: Early view of the statue of German poet Fredrich Schiller in front of the Berlin theater. It was removed during WWII ending up in West Germany . In 1988 it was restored to its original location. Photographer and publisher Sophus Williams (1835-1900) was born Sophus Vilhelm Schou in Copenhagen . He went to London in 1859 then later to Berlin around 1869 where he took ownership of the firm of E. Linde & Co. During the 1870s, he made portraits of the royalty and views of the Berlin region as a member of the Berlin photography club where he worked close with J.F. Stiehm.
