Antique carte-de-visite (CDV) photograph featuring a sculpture by Erastus Dow Palmer that was exhibited in 1856 as one of twelve sculptures in the hall of the Church of the Divine Unity on Broadway in New York. Headlined as The Palmer Marbles , the event was of sufficient success to advance Palmer to the forefront of American sculptors. The photograph was published in 1860 by Annesley and Ferris of Albany, New York.
